OK. So for the past few weeks I've been doing the normal summer routine: bored outta my mind trapped alone at my house out in the middle of nowhere. But the last few days have been interesting so I'll give a quick rundown.
1. Shopping. For my graduation/bday present my grandpa gave me a big shopping spree!! >3< I got so many adorable clothes~ At first it was hard to convince him to take me to good stores. His ideas included sears and jcpenny which, though I have shopped there before, arent exactly my ideas of stores to splurge at. So I got him to take me to Charlotte Russe (got pants), Anchor Blue (shirtsssss <3), and the Buckle (shorts and cute shirts <333). ^_^ It was a lot of fun, especially because MT doesnt even have a CR or AB and because I finally can get rid of my old pairs of crappy walmart jeans =_=.

2. Anime Expo! Yeah, only one day this year because time/money is slim. I picked up TONS of new artwork, some new copics (my mom also won a drawing they had so I got a starter airbrush kit to try out), and got a commission from =orange-lotus that I will scan to show you as soon as I get back to MT. I also got the chance to get a portfolio review and talk to the art director of a company, both of which had some nice things to say about my art >w<. It is really nice to have professionals tell you that they think you will have a good future in the career that you are pursuing~ I love getting compliments from family and friends obviously but professionals are special So I'm warm and fuzzy inside. I also got some new ink pens TwT9 thank god because those sucky Staples ones were killing me.

O__O I was SOOOOO embarassed talking to the Art Director though. My cousin set me up to talk to him and made it out like it was no big deal at all so when I got there and he asked me to see my portfolio (a few pieces of art in a beat-to-death old high school folder) I was hating myself lol. My next goal: buy portfolio binder

Anyways on Sunday we are having a huge party here with an estimated 100 people showing up so tomorrow I will be cleaning and getting everything all set up for that, which should be fun. Monday is party overflow (some people are staying the night). Tuesday I am running down to San Diego to see my cousins, Wednesday I am packing, and
THURSDAY I WILL BE BACK HOME
